ZSL London Zoo
For almost 200 years, the London Zoo has been one of the most famous zoos in the world, and it has only improved over the centuries. Home to more than 750 different species, there is something for everyone to fall in love with, and as you wander the grounds, you will quickly appreciate the lengths the zoo has gone to let you get a close-up view of the animals and their habitats.
Enter the enchanting Butterfly Paradise where you will be surrounded by the fluttering wings of hundreds of butterflies from around the world, or be transported to the Bolivian rainforests as you make your way through the squirrel monkey's enclosure. Be sure to visit Tiger Territory, where the London Zoo has built a home for family of the critically endangered Sumatran tigers as part of their extensive conservation efforts.
Shows, talks and feedings take place throughout the zoo every day as well, so be sure to check the schedule on your arrival. Take a seat poolside at the Penguin Beach as these lovable birds dive and play, or head underground and discover the subterranean secrets of the aardvark and porcupine.
There's so much to do, see and learn at the ZSL London Zoo, which makes it an unforgettable experience for tourists and locals alike.
