St Paul's Cathedral

St Paul's Cathedral stands atop Ludgate Hill in the centre of London as the crowning gem of the English Baroque style. Built by Sir Christopher Wren after the Great Fire of London, the church features many unique architectural elements that will fascinate history buffs and everyday sightseers alike.

Step inside this famous cathedral, and take in the ornate beauty that opens up before you along the central nave, from the Great West Doors used by the Queen for special functions, to the magnificent High Altar made from gilded oak and marble. Begin your ascent into the famed dome, passing through the Whispering Gallery, (aptly named for its unusual acoustic qualities), and the Stone Gallery at the base of the dome. Ambitious guests can ascend even higher to the Golden Gallery at the apex of the dome, where a breathtaking view of the city is found. Make your descent from the lofty heights of the dome to the crypts below the cathedral, where you can visit the final resting place of the Duke of Wellington and Lord Nelson. From top to bottom, St Paul's Cathedral has a wealth of treasures that will grab and hold attention for every visitor.
