Hampton Court Palace

The Hampton Court Palace stands on the bank of the River Thames, where it has been a popular attraction for visitors for more than 200 years. Pass through the Boleyn Gatehouse to see the astronomical clock which shows the position of the sun, moon and the zodiac signs instead of the time, and lose yourself in Britain's oldest puzzle maze as you navigate the misleading twists and turns.   How to Get There:

  • By Car: Limited parking is available for £1.50. The palace is located on the A308 and is well signposted from all the major local roads; drivers should follow the brown tourist attraction road signs. From the M25 take either exit 10 on to the A307 or exit 12 on to the A308.
  • By Train: The nearest train station is Kingston, and from here it's just across the river to Hampton Court Palace.
