Bergerac

Bergerac

"We returned on June 9 from our beautiful stay at Bergerac. What a fantastic location and the view of the Eiffel Tower is unbelievable. The Paris Perfect team does a great job of providing information and helping clients to "settle in". Thank you especially for the lovely bottle of white wine provided for our grand daughter's 21st birthday.

One thing we especially enjoyed was the "neighborhood" feeling that derived from staying in an apartment rather than an hotel. You return from a day of sightseeing to a tree-lined street of sidewalk cafes and small shops, yet only a block away from the Eiffel Tower. Bergerac provided a beautiful oasis that lent an added dimension to our trip.
Unforgettable."

"Just wanted to say thank you for the lovely and well appointed Chateau Latour. I couldn't believe the quality of the appliances and the bathrooms! We so enjoyed it, and the apartment is beautiful. Of course it is hard to take your eyes off the Eiffel Tower! We truly loved the neighborhood and loved the help and information shared with us. We were also very happy with Lisa Buros' help with our plans. Everything worked out perfectly.

Thanks again for everything. Tell Kevin he was right - the Nespresso espresso machine is addictive!"

"ParisPerfect made our stay in Paris absolutely perfect. We loved our apartment and our neighborhood, we appreciated all the advice and insider tips we received, and we used them gladly. Even though we don't speak French, we at least felt part of the neighborhood. The rough edges of travel were smoothed out by ParisPerfect, and the staff was very responsive when needed. Would we use ParisPerfect again? You bet!"

"This apartment is spacious and great for couples. The very best thing about the Paris Perfect apartments is their location(s). I have stayed in 3 different apts and each one was wonderful. The company seems to select units with great views and easy access to the Metro and beyond. I chose to stay in the "7" and that was a good call. It felt safe and clean and the views from each apt. are as advertised.! So much fun, I hated to go home...I would use this team again without a doubt.

PS I also liked how they hooked me up with other services that were of help...ie: Taxi service, tour guide (who by the way is amazing!) excursions within and out of the city. All very helpful."

Maranges

Maranges

"After reading the (very poor) reviews of two hotels we were familiar with in Paris, we began to think about an alternative to hotel living. Luckily, we ran across ParisPerfect. Because of our late start in looking for other lodging, the Maranges apartment was just about the only accommodation still available during our time period, but the on-line photos looked good and we were familiar with the location (having lived nearby for 10 days/month for nearly 3 years). The cost was 2x what we planned on paying for the hotel, but the peace of mind (didn't want to get to Paris and have it ruined by poor living conditions) was, we reasoned, worth the extra cost.

As it turned out, the Maranges experience was exactly what we wanted! GREAT LOCATION. Extremely quiet (bring some music with you else you may be listening to your own breathing -- I suspect that this place has a built-in sound suppressor). Secluded and very private (you feel safe here). The moderate size kitchen has every amenity. There are (small) televisions in the living room and bedroom that each have a DVD player attached. THE Wi-Fi IS FAST. Free calls. The apartment is very well maintained and clean. The darkening shades (especially in the bedroom) work very efficiently. A very nice place -- we felt instantly "at home" here. Importantly, since our airplane arrived at CDG at 11AM and the apartment check-in time was 4PM, we asked if we could go to the apartment early (straight from the airport). ParisPerfect graciously allowed us to do so; this made a huge difference in our first day! THANK YOU ParisPerfect!!! Victor's taxi service, suggested by ParisPerfect, operated perfectly in both directions, from and to CDG airport. Also, ParisPerfect allowed us to be picked up by Victor at the apartment at 1PM, vs the normal 4PM, for our ride to CDG. Again, THANK YOU ParisPerfect!!!

Pros (not, I think, mentioned in the ParisPerfect description):
-- A taxi stand (important in Paris) is conveniently just outside the apartment on the Blvd St Germain -- on 'your' (that is, South) side of the Blvd.
-- A Metro stop is also just outside
-- The Cafe de Flore is across the street (be sure to get the hot chocolate) as is the Cafe Les Deux Magots next to the de Flore.
-- There are two Bistros on 'your' side of the street across from the 'Flore' & 'Magot' -- we found that the nearest one to the apartment (just a few steps on the Blvd St Germain) was, in our opinion, the best (very friendly service & good food). Sorry, can't remember the name for some reason.
-- Musee D'Orsay, Notre Dame, the Louvre, etc. are all within very easy walking distance. For that matter, we just occasionally used a taxi and never used the Metro in all of our excursions (10 days -- that is a LOT of museums and paintings to be seen).
-- There is a boulangerie less than a minute away from the apartment. Just go out onto the street (rue du Dragon), turn immediately left (down rue du Dragon away from Blvd St Germain) and walk a half-block. The bakery is on your left. Great place. Get fresh bread and croissants (lots of croissants) every day. Be aware that the fresh, delicious baguette lasts about 12 hours, then turns into a baseball bat. Buy bread as you need it. It seems most Parisians do the same.
-- The elevator is nowhere near as small as what we expected to find from reading the ParisPerfect write-up. Small, but still a two-person, two bag elevator. Quiet and efficient as well. Note that having the elevator stop one 'level' below the apartment level is (in spite of the stairs within the apartment) a very good thing for you and your stay; there is no "elevator noise" whatsoever. We considered this a real plus.

Suggestions:
-- Bring your own ground coffee. The apartment has a very good drip coffee machine.
-- The espresso machine in the apartment is very good. They give you a small supply of "Nespresso" 'cartridges' but you need more. We couldn't find a place to buy them. But the espresso was GREAT while it lasted!
-- Bring a decent corkscrew.
-- If you want a single large bed, bring something to prevent the two individual beds (that make up the single large bed) from sliding apart. Nothing like waking up on the floor when you fall between the beds after they slide apart in the middle of a deep sleep.
-- Make sure you understand all of the details of how to execute the "greeting" at the apartment the first day.
-- Heed what the greeter tells you about the keys (you will know what I mean once the greeting orientation starts).
-- Do not forget the combination code to the "courtyard" entry from street level. We didn't make this mistake, but it definitely would be a problem. Write it down and keep it in a wallet/purse.

Cons (or "Other" as they used to put it in TOPGUN):
-- The "sliding apart" bed situation. Has there never been another complaint about this problem? Really? Sort of puts a huge damper on the whole "Paris -- The City For Lovers" concept. Not to mention enduring some dreams of falling (mentioned above).
-- The combination washer/dryer in the kitchen never seemed to work properly. We both have advanced degrees and are both somewhat literate and speak some french, but there was just no way that we could get the 'dryer' feature to work. We did get the 'wash' cycle to work (once), but that was something of a small miracle (we just pushed buttons seemingly at random until it started a wash cycle). And yes, we did go over and over and over the instructions for the washer/dryer. I suppose that some things are just not meant to be.
-- The staircase going up to the apartment level from the elevator is very steep and winding. Be careful! Especially when hauling up/down luggage. It is not so bad once you have navigated it once or twice.

All in all, the Maranges apartment was just what we were looking for. We felt very lucky to have stumbled across it online. ParisPerfect was 'Perfect' from start to finish and we will definitely use them in future. Very friendly, very professional and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!"

"

Our party was an extended family of 8, with 5 adults and 3 children. We had never tried a service like this before (always staying in hotels) but after some careful research decided to go with Paris Perfect. We were pleased with their reliability and the accuracy of the provided information. The apartment was everything as described on the web site. The location's closeness to an outdoor market, bakeries, restaurants, grocery stores and a Metro stop suited us really well. All the Paris Perfect personnel were very friendly and helpful. On two nights during the week, those who slept in the living room were awakened briefly by a little noise in the street, but otherwise the neighborhood is generally very quiet. We enjoyed our stay very much and plan to use Paris Perfect next time we go.

"We had a wonderful stay! The apartment had all the comforts of home and was in a sensational location...and the direct view of the eiffel Tower didn't hurt either. I loved going downstairs each morning to the cafe next door to buy fresh croissants and cafe creme. All transportation options were close and we were able to use the Batobus because of the exceptional weather. Paris Perfect made our visit extra special. We are looking forward to our next visit."

"Marsannay apartment was everything we could have hoped for, beautifully appointed and everything we needed. Location was perfect, easy access to the Metro and a Velib bike station just near our door, restaurants, markets and Boulangerie a plenty to choose from locally. Paris Perfect staff member, Sam, gave us a wonderful introduction to the apartment and the local area. Thank you for your attention to detail and for making the process of apartment rental so easy."

This our fifth apartment stay with Paris Perfect. La Tache is gorgeous, spacious, modern, with a fantastic view of the Eiffel Tower. We love the neighborhood which is so accessible to either bus or metro.    The cooking class at Reed Bistro was definitely one of the highlights of this trip. The service from the staff was perfect. I am so glad that you are offering the Memory Book from Shutterfly this year. I just finished mine!

"This trip was a graduation Present for our 2 granddaughters both 19 years old. The apartment was spacious and with 3.5 bathrooms so each of the 3 women had no excuse for being late in the mornings. The apartment was very close to Rue Cler with it's local produce and stores selling everything one would need. Wonderful small resteraunts were just out the door and bread / pastery stores only 1 block from the apartment. The apartment was very spacious with everything you needed to make it home for our stay. The subway and bus stops were about 2 blocks away. The Efiel tower was about a 5 minute walk. We enjoyed our trip very much and look forward to another trip in the future."

"The Calvados apartment was wonderful. It was stocked with all of the essentials for a perfect trip. We have stayed in rental apartments before and none have been stocked with things like spices, coffee filters dish liquid etc. This really made it nice.

The location and view of the Eiffel tower could not be beat. The area was perfect for walking around and experiencing Paris.

The Paris perfect team did such a wonderful job of welcoming us. We will be back!"

My husband, sister and brother-in-law and I stayed at the Bordeaux for five nights from March 27-April 1, 2012. We were all very pleased to find the apartment had an initial supply of laundry detergent, soap, etc. as well as basic condiments so we did not have to purchase those items. The location was fabulous, easy to get around the city. Loved our stay, staff very helpful, was also very glad that we took advantage of hiring Victor's crew for pickup/return to the airport. Would definately stay again. We had the time of our lives!

It was a terrific experience that my husband and I truly enjoyed ! The apartment was spotless, very well appointed and in a wonderful location. The Rue St. Dominique is a special street, with excellent restaurants, shops and many residential buildings interspersed in the area that were charming. We highly recommend travelers book an apartment for future Paris visits !

"The experience of renting Merlot changed the way I think about travel -- never will a hotel have the same appeal as renting such a fabulous apartment. The Merlot apartment was literally perfect -- charming, clean, comfortable, convenient, etc. In addition, Paris Perfect's service enhanced the apartment living experience to an exceptional level: luggage storage, welcome appointment, stocking of shampoo, lotion, hairdryer, adaptor, trash bags, paper towels, coffee, milk, linens, etc. The fact that there was a washer dryer means that I should've brought 1/3 of the clothes that I did. I literally dream of the day I can go back to Paris and stay in another of these wonderful apartments! Thank you thank you!"
