The master bath is tiled in beige French limestone. A frieze of a mythical fish hangs on the wall above the bath. The bathtub has a fixed German shower and sliding glass door. Additionally, there is a full washer and dryer in the cupboard next to the bathtub.
The marble sinks sit on a limestone worktop with a glass shelf underneath for towels. These antique sinks are in the form of shells and were originally water fonts from Italy. They are beautiful and tell their age with the old water marks inside. We asked the driver pick them up from an antique market in central Italy after picking up the master bed from the factory. Our instructions to him were to head for the Eiffel Tower and then call when he got there. It worked!
The second bathroom has toilet, sink, full shower and cupboard. There is a bench at the end of the long shower – this area had been tiled up and hidden for decades behind a water tank. When we remodeled, we discovered the small passage and window. We liked the feeling of space so much that we left it open and incorporated it into the shower. As you can see, the room has a sunny Mediterranean feel.
The second bathroom with round porcelain sink, cupboard and hanging chest. This is a sunny room and very private.
The powder room next to the front door has toilet, sink, cupboard and loads of hooks for extra ‘getting ready’ room.
