We knew that the Sauternes Paris vacation rental was close to the Place des Vosges, to the Picasso Museum, the Musée Carnavalet and the delightful rue de Turenne, which is full of shops and restaurants – but we didn’t realize how close until Madelyn took a wrong turn while walking to the supermarket and came upon the Grand entrance to the Place des Vosges. This photo, taken on a cold winter’s day when the trees were bare doesn’t do this beautiful Place justice. It is astonishing and a monument to the grand era of Kings in France. |
