Paris vacation rental apartment master bedroom

With extra-wide queen bed, balcony, en suite bathroom and fireplace

The master bedroom From the living rooom of our Sauternes Paris vacation rental, or from the en suite bathroom, you enter the luxurious master bedroom. Find an extra wide queen-sized bed and antique gray headboard with matching antique gray side tables – a charming and comfortable feel.

We order the highest quality mattresses for our Paris vacation rentals, the kind supplied to luxury hotels in Paris. Our guests tell us they have an excellent night’s sleep in our Paris vacation rentals.

Just beyond the bed is the entrance to the en suite bathroom. We wanted some of the warm natural light from the Sauternes Paris vacation rental bedroom to pass into the bathroom, so we removed the upper wooden panel of the original door and replaced it with sanded glass. Don’t worry, we installed a roller blind inside, so you can close it and not disturb your sleeping partner at night.

The master bedroom has French doors which open onto the balcony of our Sauternes Paris vacation rental. It’s a treat to step out and enjoy morning in Paris or sit outside on sunny days and relax with your coffee. The original marble fireplace adds a warm romantic touch with the electrified chandelier on the mantle. A pretty antique style desk sits next to it so you can download emails and stay in touch with home or the office during your down time – we want you to feel that enjoying your Paris apartment is as much a part of your vacation as walking around the neighborhood and seeing museums, Churches and monuments.

When you’re searching for the perfect Paris vacation rental for your vacation stay, you’ll find that it’s rare to find apartments with balconies and beautiful views – but we think these features make all the difference to your stay. The special features mean you know you can savor your vacation in Paris the moment you walk in the door, enjoying the comforts and views and absorbing la vie Parisienne into all your senses.

Looking past the extra wide queen-sized bed of our Sauternes Paris vacation rental towards the en suite bathroom of our vacation rental in the heart of Paris. We love to contrast antique and modern decoration, which the solid oak armoire from Normandy does with the ultra modern bathroom in our Sauternes Paris vacation rental apartment. Madelyn bought the armoire before measuring the ceiling height and there was a panic between Philippe and the builder who thought the ceilings might be too low. We were tempted to remove the beautiful wood carving at the top in order to make it fit, but discovered that the ceilings of the Sauternes Paris vacation rental are almost 11 feet high, with ample clearance for the armoire. Whew!

The crystal chandelier lights up the master bedroom of our Sauternes Paris vacation rental. Another chandelier style lamp with a footman carrying candles sits on the original marble fireplace. Find the antique oak armoire with rod for hanging and shelves inside. To the right of the fireplace is a pretty oil painting of Victorian women in a flower market.

An oil painting of an earlier era; Victorian women ‘en promenade’ in a French City and some of the first automobiles in a Northern city. Under this painting is an antique white table with large flat screen TV, so you can watch in bed or work on your computer. All of our Paris vacation rental apartments have free high speed internet.

To the right of the fireplace and this picture are the large French doors which open onto the second balcony of our Sauternes Paris vacation rental. When we first viewed the apartment, the balcony and access were obscured by old curtains and furniture, so it was a delightful surprise to discover it when we stepped onto the living room balcony of our Sauternes Paris vacation rental.

The Sauternes Paris vacation rental apartment belonged to an elderly couple who had moved to the suburbs several years previously. The Paris apartment had not been touched in 20 years and featured loud striped wallpaper, net curtains, gray and blue linoleum check floors in the kitchen and aqua blue and black bathroom tiles.

The story of our purchase of this Paris apartment rental was one for the books, as are most of them. The owners had scheduled a day of appointments to show it and could only fit us in late afternoon. We pleaded with them to let us view it in the morning as we were driving back to London afterwards. They kindly agreed. We saw the beautiful features immediately and we agreed to their asking price offer on the spot. As we were writing the important written offer to be signed by all parties to finalize the sale of the Paris apartment, the doorbell rang. Uh oh, the husband told us that might have verbally agreed to sell it to someone else. ‘Did you sign anything?’, Philippe asked. The answer was no, but they did not want to talk to the other person. They asked Philippe to go to the door and explain that the apartment was sold. We made small talk as we heard Philippe tell the disappointed party that ‘Malheureusement, l’appartement est’ vendu.’, with lots of discussion to follow. Afterwards, the husband said that he preferred to sell to Philippe because he was a doctor who had graduated from the famous and difficult Paris internship system ‘interne des hôpitaux de Paris’. He confided: “Les médecins ne sont pas des margoulins”. (“Doctors are not dishonest or incompetent… so I trust you more than the other buyer”).
