Description of our Paris apartment rental
At ParisPerfect, we feel that the Tavel apartment in the heart of Paris is like the excellent wine from the village of the same name. Tavel wine reflects a passion and expertise in how this excellent rosé wine is made, which has given it universal renown – in fact, it is Philippe’s favorite rose’. Our Tavel Paris apartment rental is no exception. We have totally remodeled, exquisitely decorated, and finely furnished Tavel to take full advantage of the sun streaming in through three sets of French doors into the living room, dining area, and kitchen. Situated on the 4th floor (5th American) of an elegant building, this large 640-square-foot property is located only a few steps away from the famous rue Cler market street in the very heart of the 7th arrondissement, surrounding you with shops, trendy restaurants, patisseries, and more. The bedroom is fully air conditioned.
Tavel begins to impress as soon as you approach the building. The building special front door opens automatically when you enter the security code, and beautiful faux marble painting adorns the inner walls. As you enter the inner courtyard you’re greeted with a pretty garden at the back, which the bedroom overlooks. Ride the modern glass elevator up to the fourth floor, and just when you think your accommodations couldn’t be any better, you enter Tavel and are immediately struck by the quality of the finish — it’s absolutely gorgeous! You enter our Paris apartment rental to an entrance hall, off of which is the powder room, living room, kitchen, and short hall to the bathroom and bedroom. Elegant halogen lights operate with a motion detector, so they automatically turn on as you walk down the hall.
Walk straight ahead into the living room of our Paris apartment rental to find fully restored original oak parquet floors and two large French doors with beautiful views down rue Valadon and rue de Grenelle below. This long rectangular room is very large, big enough to accommodate a large sofa, armchairs and a small sofa. The large sofa was made for us and easily converts to two comfortable twin beds at night. There is even room for dining on the modern round glass pedestal dinner table that can seat up to five people. And behind the sofa find a large walk-in closet for storage. In addition, there is a built-in desk on the left hand wall where you can access the internet as well as built-in bookshelves.
Tavel is in a very chic part of the quartier, and we’ve tried to emulate that with beautiful Parisian furnishings, such as the large fresco painting on the wall and the horizontal striped designer curtains. The tones are neutrals with highlights of rusty reds and yellows, as you can see from the curtains and bookshelves. We believe the time you spend inside one of our Paris apartment rentals should be as enjoyable and memorable as the time you spend outside sightseeing.
For your entertainment, find a flat screen TV and dual-standard DVD player so you can bring your favorite movies. We have installed cable so you can watch CNN, CNBC etc. There is also a CD stereo, so bring your favorite selections to play or choose from a small selection that we provide. Our Paris apartment rental also features high-speed Internet access so you can download emails and work while enjoying your special time in Paris.
Enter the kitchen from either the living room or from the hallway and marvel at the sleek, modern design complimented by a full array of modern appliances. We also provide top-of-the-line cookware, utensils, and dishes — everything you need to prepare gourmet meals. This chic designer kitchen features a large French door providing plenty of natural light, long dark gray countertops with large storage drawers underneath, and sanded glass cupboard doors. Enjoy pretty views as you sip your morning coffee at the built-in glass breakfast table, over rue de Grenelle and rue Valadon. With the famous pedestrian street of rue Cler right around the corner, you will delight in stepping out for fresh croissants and baguettes every morning, still warm from the oven. Rue Cler is among the most famous market streets in Paris and features some of the best greengrocers, patisseries, delicatessens, wine merchants, cheese merchants, fish shops, butchers, and even health food stores in Paris.
Having a kitchen and a dining area are among the many advantages of staying in a Paris apartment rental, as you don’t have to go out for every meal. You can enjoy eating with family and friends without having to get dressed up every evening. The French have mastered the art of ready-prepared dishes and foods, so you don’t even have to cook to enjoy great French cuisine. Children (and adults alike) love buying fresh warm croissants at the patisserie each morning, or choosing a special dessert after lunch or dinner. Our guests tell us that shopping for croissants and desserts is the best part of their children’s visit! Dining chez soi represents the biggest savings of all, because paying for three meals a day in Paris (yes all hotels charge for simple breakfasts) can really add up — especially when restaurants charge up to $10 for a glass of Coke. When you shop in our local markets for pre-prepared dishes and fresh ingredients, you will save significantly — and enjoy 3 star dining in lovely surroundings in our apartments.
The small powder room in the entrance hall of our Paris apartment rental is a delight, as well as practical. A common Parisian amenity, it frees up the bathroom for extra ‘getting ready’ room when everyone is preparing to go out. It features not only a built-in modern toilet, but also a pretty porcelain sink with modern stainless steel fixture, mirrored medicine cabinet, and a built-in storage shelf.
Follow the hallway to the back of the apartment to find the bathroom, then another walk-in closet, and the bedroom. The bathroom is decorated in modern white tile and features a bathtub/shower combination with a striking red shower curtain. A fashionable round white porcelain sink sits upon a vanity with a blond wood countertop, with chrome sink fixtures extending from the wall below a large mirrored medicine cabinet. Only the plushest towels are provided.
The second walk-in closet here in the hallway means there is plenty of storage space to put all of your luggage and clothing out of the way, even with a full complement of guests. There is no need to step over or around suitcases in the bedroom or living room, allowing you to enjoy the ample space this Paris apartment rental provides.
Enter the bedroom to find an extra-wide queen-size bed with high-quality 450-thread-count sheets and a designer bedspread. A large French window overlooks the courtyard and brightens this tastefully appointed room. An extra touch is the fact that the bedroom is air-conditioned for those warm nights in Paris. The apartment living room is cooler and has excellent cross-ventilation. Just in case, we have installed an electric fan.
An important note: all of our apartments are fitted with the highest quality double-glazed windows available, the same quality as luxury hotels use. Even though Paris is a bustling city, you will find our Paris apartment rentals very quiet. We are passionate about Paris and we know it is infinitely better to stay in an apartment that is sunny and overlooks rooftops, beautiful streets, and gardens than to settle for a dark apartment on an inner courtyard, which is a euphemism for where the rubbish bins are stored.
Our guests tell us time and again that the views and locations of our apartments have given them wonderful memories for themselves and their children. Paris apartments in the best neighborhoods cost significantly more to buy, but are worth every penny. Not only do you have beautiful living rooms, kitchens, and conveniences such as washer/dryers, but you’re able to enjoy wonderful meals with family and friends in our apartments as well as simply step outside to enjoy the neighborhoods you’d otherwise have to travel to see. We think you will love staying in our Tavel Paris apartment rental. The space, location, and amenities mean you will have a wonderful, relaxing, and unforgettable stay in the City of Light!
And we go a great deal further in ensuring your total comfort and relaxation by employing our own team of English-speaking greeters to meet you at the door when you arrive, ready to explain how all the appliances operate and answer any questions you may have. Besides sending you a 35-page information pack well before you arrive, our on-site English-speaking management team is available to you seven days a week. We also employ our own cleaning staff and maintenance team trained to our exacting standards. We recommend a reliable taxi service to pick you up from the airport too.
On-site management and services like these may not be obvious when you shop and compare Paris apartment rentals, but they can make all the difference in your stay. And we leave several Paris guidebooks and other information on the neighborhood for you to peruse during your stay.
This is a non-smoking vacation apartment and, sorry, but no pets are allowed.
Please let me know if you have any other questions about our Paris apartment rental or if we can help in any way. We think your stay at www.parisperfect.com will bring you memories of a lifetime!
