"What can we say other than thank you very much for allowing us such a wonderful experience in Paris. The city was great- but no other memory can come close to having dinner and wine in our ParisPerfect apartment, overlooking the Eiffel tower and the city. The amount of attention to detail I observed in your operation is unmatched by the Ritz or the St. Regis. The on-call doctor, the step by step instructions on how to use the appliances, and the complimentary coffee were such a nice touch. The bottom line is that we could not have had this experience in a hotel. Please use us as a reference if you wish as it is our desire, and in our best interest, to see your business thrive. God Bless"

Thank You, Kind Guests!
We put our heart and souls into Paris Perfect and wish to say thank you to our many guests for their much appreciated notes and referrals. It means so much to us to know that our extra levels of service and care are noticed and we thank you so much.

One such note was in the form of a wonderful video published on You Tube by guest Jeff Hannon, who stayed at our Sancerre apartment while his mother stayed in the Bergerac apartment. Please have a look at this wonderful video accompanied by Céline Dion.

Jeff used pictures of the painting in the Bergerac dining room to start and end the video, together with many images of Paris and the views from the apartments. In my thank you note to Jeff I explained that the painting reached out to me when I first saw it in a dusty antique shop. It shows a group of Novice nuns, lined up in pairs heading to Mass. I am one of six sisters and when we were very young and lived in Italy our parents made us line up in pairs and hold each other's hands so we wouldn't get lost. The Italians were delighted by the sight and would stop and ask us if we were a school, then they would pinch the cheek of our baby sister, Lisa, saying 'Picina picina' to mean 'so cute'. The painting reminded me of my sisters and I love its location in the Bergerac apartment.

July 14 in Paris! We thank our guests who stayed in Paris over the July 14 period and who generously let our photographer photograph the incredible fireworks that night! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did seeing your pictures! The theme was great films and included the music Star Wars and other classics; some say the fireworks were the best ever. This photo is from our Chateau Latour apartment and the Drake family.

Don't worry; you don't have to come to Paris in mid-July because the Eiffel Tower puts on its magic light show every night of the year on the hour for ten minutes. As our guests will tell you, it's so beautiful that you want to stay up and watch the next one, and the next.

Another thank you is for South African clients, welcome guests who stay with us every year. They are race horse enthusiasts and you may remember that they named one of their horses Paris Perfect. We hear that Paris Perfect has developed into an outstanding 3 year colt and has had 3 wins and 2 places from 6 races! The photo is of ParisPerfect crossing the finish line in beautiful bright pink and black polka dots; very trendy!

A Toast for Champagne

If you are looking for a romantic getaway for two, this is the apartment for you! We just remodeled our Champagne apartment and are overjoyed with the results. I joked with Philippe that the view from the wrap-around balcony was so incredible that we could leave it empty and it would still be popular among guests. You find such a panorama from the balcony and seven sets of French doors only once in a lifetime. Our team did a spectacular job furnishing it with romance and comfort in mind. Even an amateur photographer such as myself managed to capture the incredible views from the living room and dining room. Have a look and see for yourself.

Bicycles in Paris

One of the most fun new happenings in Paris this year (besides the election of Sarkozy and the antics that went during the debates between the front runners) is the fact that Paris has installed almost 10,000 new bicycles around Paris, all stationed within a few blocks of each other. There are stands around all of our apartments with instructions in English for you to subscribe (€ 1 for 1 day, € 5 for 7 days) and take out a bike. You can rent one for the first half hour for free, € 1 for the first additional half hour, € 2 for the second additional half hour, and € 4 per additional half hour beyond. What a great way to get around. Parisians have taken to the bicycles like crazy, to go shopping and even to commute to work. Click here for more information.

Paris is Wired for Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi is now available in many parks and public buildings for free throughout central Paris. Look for the purple "Paris Wi-Fi" logo and log on to the affiliated network. Wi-Fi hotspots include a spot just across from the Eiffel Tower: look for the sign near the south east corner of the Tower, just across the street in the Champs de Mars Gardens. Visit wifi.paris.fr for a full listing.

French Word Problem Hell - A Brain Teaser

In French elementary schools children are given a generalized Math test called Le Kangarou. In typical fashion, our son Olivier completely forgot about the big day, took the test and left us clueless until we received the results from school. Our daughter Alexia brought home a note from the teacher with a practice exam and we spent several weeks working on it to help her understand how to comprehend word problems. We had fun at the dining table trying to work out the answers. We thought you might enjoy translating and working on one of them. Because word problems have always been the bane of my existence, I was ridiculed by Philippe, Olivier and Alexia! You may hate them as much as I, but consider it your introduction to: 'L'Enfer des Problèmes de Mot' instead of 'Word Problem Hell.' Let us know if you've enjoyed and I promise to send the 'Jawbreaker' in the next issue.

The Most Charming Bath in Rome

This charming bath with its own little balcony is just an hint of the comfort and style you experience when you stay in the gracious Renata apartment in Rome. In the fashionable Spanish Steps district. The apartment is ideal for two couples or a family with two large and separate bedrooms with excellent storage for travelers. The living and dining room is spacious and super comfortable. And the breakfast room off the large and well-equipped kitchen opens on two sides for sun and breezes. Weekday housekeeping allows you to compare it to a hotel but with so much more.

Word Problem Answer

Réponse: C Si on totalise les notes de Sophie on a 12.5 X 4 = 50. Si elle a finalement 13 de moyenne sur 5 notes, son total sera 13 X 5 = 65. Sa dernier note doit être un 15.

Thank you for your interest and loyalty to Paris Perfect where our goal is for you to experience memories of a lifetime. If you've enjoyed our newsletter please feel free to send it on to friends and family.
