ParisPerfect is a luxury Paris apartment rental business that has grown since the mid-90s from one very special Paris apartment rental in the heart of Paris to more than 30 luxurious and highly prized properties. The business was started by Frenchman Philippe, a former cardiac surgeon who traded in the operating room for more entrepreneurial pursuits. The idea evolved when he and his American banker wife, Madelyn, remodeled his former bachelor pad apartment in Paris into a lovely pied-a-terre that was frequently empty due to their relocation to London.

‘Our friends contacted us about renting our Paris apartment because they wanted to experience true Parisian living by immersing themselves into a charming neighborhood rather than visiting from a small hotel room. We thought more people would love to have this opportunity too, in the same spectacular setting.’

Our Philosophy

Provide and beautifully decorated Paris apartments in the best neighborhoods of Paris backed by a fulltime, English-speaking staff to welcome guests, fully explain how everything works, and answer any questions they may have. By providing a great product and outstanding service to our guests, they return year after year and recommend us to family and friends.

What makes www.parisperfect.com different is that our Paris apartments are owned or exclusively managed by ParisPerfect, and every one of them has the ‘Wow!’ factor: that combination of views, appointments, and amenities that strike customers as soon as they walk through the door. Over the past decade, we have carefully selected only light-filled, outward-facing apartments in the best quartiers of Paris. They must have beautiful, period features and outstanding views, allowing visitors to experience true Parisian living while inside the apartment as well as when out strolling the surrounding neighborhood. Without exception, the neighborhoods of our Paris apartments feature an abundance of cafes, restaurants, and shops, and are only a short walking distance from museums, monuments, and the open-air markets frequented by Parisians!

Says Madelyn: ‘Our logic is simple: our quests invest a lot to travel to one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and we want them to enjoy their visit to the fullest. We wouldn’t want to stay in a dark, drab apartment or in an ‘evolving’ neighborhood – and we don’t think they do either. As in any city, this kind of property is the most expensive and difficult to find, but we are uncompromising in our standards. We prefer to offer a few beautiful Parisian apartments in neighborhoods we love rather than offer a list of mediocre ones belonging to a wide range of owners. Our team teases me that I fall in love with each one for its own unique features…and they are right!’

Creating a ‘Home Away From Home’

Owning or exclusively managing our selection of apartments means we can implement high standards throughout. Where necessary, we remodel the apartment or make substantial improvements to bring them up to the superior standards expected by our guests. Some of these features include large hot water tanks, fixed showers, excellent lighting, beautiful antique furniture, high-end sofas and beds, American/French DVD players, cable and stereo systems, Internet access, granite worktops, professional cookware, etc. The result is that our guests feel welcome and comfortable in Paris from the minute they walk in the door.

‘We believe we’ve thought of everything – from practical things like large hot water tanks and fixed showers, a full array of entertainment systems, and stylishly comfortable furniture, to those special things that make a real ‘home away from home’ – new kitchens, quality appliances, and, of course, excellent beds for a good night’s sleep.’

But we don’t stop there – we employ our own team of people in Paris who meet you at the apartment when you arrive to explain how to operate appliances and answer any questions you might have. And we also have a team of plumbers, electricians, and carpenters who have worked with us for the past decade and who respond quickly if needed. Since we own or exclusively manage our apartments, we do not need to ''try to contact the owner and wait for approval'' for something to be repaired!

‘The investment we have made in our people is our most important asset and makes us unique in Paris. Most companies operate virtually on the internet from locations outside of France. They either rely on the owner to handle the cleaning and maintenance or contract with outside cleaning services to do so. Unfortunately the cleaning contractor’s incentive is to finish the job and move on the next one as quickly as possible and oftentimes the owner does not have standards that are consistent with ours. There is no replacement for your own good people and a ‘head of housekeeping’ who can check that everything is in place and spotless before a guest arrives. Labor is costly in France and this is our largest investment, but for our guests, it is 100% worth it.’

Finally, we want you to hit the ground running, so we provide guests with loads of information on the many open markets, restaurants, and activities in the neighborhood when they reserve, so they can start to explore and enjoy Paris even before they arrive. If we treat our guests really well with beautiful apartments and furnishings, they will return it in kind – and they have by returning year after year and spreading the word.
