The Neighborhood Surrounding Our Paris short term Apartment Rental:

  • There are a number of things to consider when shopping for a Paris short – term apartment rental. We think that one of the most important is being on a higher floor. Our Paris short-term apartment rental is on the 4th floor (5th floor American), so it’s high above the street and bathed in natural light. Double glass windows means excellent sound insulation for quiet and restful sleep.

  • The 7th arrondissement offers fabulous sightseeing and is one of the most popular and safest in Paris.

  • You’ll find excellent restaurants, sidewalk cafés, and mouth-watering bistros and patisseries in every direction.

  • The river Seine and the famous Bateau Mouches boat tours are only 3 blocks from our Paris short-term apartment rental. The boat tours are an excellent way to begin your Paris vacation, viewing many of Paris’ monuments, museums, and the cathedral as you enjoy a relaxing cruise along the river.

  • You are 3 blocks to the incredible Rodin Museum and only 9 blocks to Chirac’s new Museum of Ethnic Arts.

  • Our Paris short-term apartment rental is only a 5-minute walk from Paris’ newest grand museum, La Musee du Quai Branly. Surrounded by beautifully lush gardens, the museum features tribal arts of the world in sharp contrast to displays of the Louvre and Musee d’Orsay.

  • Staying in the Grenache Paris short-term apartment rental means you are only 7 blocks from the Champ de Mars park and the Eiffel Tower. This vast park is unmatched in Paris as there are few large parks in which to jog, walk, play basketball, and even rent bicycles to ride along its paths. It’s wonderful to sit out and enjoy watching children at play and being entertained at the famous ‘Guignols’ puppet theater. The Eiffel Tower rises majestically at one end, and the stately Ecole Militaire guards the other.

  • Being only a short stroll from the Paris short term rental to the Eiffel Tower is a tremendous amenity, especially when it is bathed in soft light at night. Then, it explodes in glittering lights for 10 minutes every hour on the hour, causing everyone watching to literally catch their breath. In December and January, the first floor converts into an ice skating rink 189 feet high above the rooftops of Paris; it is free and a memory of a life time for children!

  • Champ de Mars is also the home of the Ecole Militaire, where Napoléon attended military school. The park was once the parade ground of the school’s cadets, so you’re striding where Napoleon once marched with his fellow classmates. This was his headquarters and housed his elite Emperor’s Troops in 1795. The buildings still show signs of the gunfire from the French Revolution in 1789 and the shelling when the Prussians declared war on France in 1870 to defeat Napoleon III. The four statues on the façade representing Might, Peace, Victory, and France are the only ones remaining as the rest were destroyed during the French Revolution. Interestingly, the statue of Victory is of Louis XV. Take an early morning stroll form our Grenache Paris short term apartment rental and you’ll see cadets running along the Champs de Mars Gardens.

  • Our Paris short-term apartment rental is only a 3-minute walk from the Invalides, a masterpiece of French Classical architecture built by Louis XIV. You can visit Napoleon’s tomb under the golden dome as well as the Musee de l’Armee, which houses one of the finest collections of arms, armor, and uniforms in the world. Of particular note is its enormous collection of Medieval Armor.

  • Only a 15-minute walk to the Trocadéro and the Grand Palais where world-famous art exhibitions can be seen. And be sure to stop in at the Musee du Cinema here.

  • It’s only 15 minutes to Paris’ incomparable Place de la Concorde and La Madeleine.

  • Our Paris short-term apartment rental is 15 minutes from the Musee d’Orsay and just another 5 minutes to the Louvre across the river.

  • Walk just 15 minutes to the Grand Couturier's on Ave Montaigne where you can shop for the latest fashions. From Dior and Chanel to Hermes, Ferragamo, Givenchy, and Valentino, the world’s most famous designers await! Please see our link on Paris Shopping for more details.

  • It is only minutes to the Four Seasons George V or Plaza Athenee’ Hotel, where the final episode of ‘Sex and the City’ was filmed. Stop in for high tea or 3-star dining after a long day of shopping and you’ll be doubly glad you’re staying in one of our Paris vacation apartments when you see the prices of their rooms!

  • You are a 15-minute walk to the Champs Elysées and the new Louis Vuitton flagship store.

  • Only 25 minutes to the department stores on Blvd Haussman. 15 minute’s walk from our Paris short-term apartment rental to the Bon Marché department store.

  • The neighborhood is famous for its open food markets — more than any other quartier in Paris! Merchants from all over the countryside bring a wide variety of wines, fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish, Brittany lobster, pâtés, breads, even five types of escargots!

    • Rue Cler, one of the most famous market streets in Paris, is only 3 blocks away and is open every day including Sunday morning, although many shops are closed on Mondays. It offers fresh flowers, fruits, vegetables, and meats, and our favorite cheese merchant here can provide the perfect selection if you tell them which day you plan to serve it!

    • Pont de l'Alma is only a 5-minute walk from our Paris short-term apartment rental and has the largest open market in Paris every Wednesday and Saturday morning.

    • Ave de Saxe is open on Thursday and Saturdays and is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in Paris. Here you’ll find many organic and deluxe food stands.

    • Rue de Grenelle, on the other side of Champ de Mars in the 15th arrondissement, is open on Wednesdays and Sundays and offers excellent prices.

    • Rue du Commerce, near La Motte Piquet metro, is a 12-minute walk from our Paris short-term apartment rental in a lively French neighborhood. Find excellent fresh foods, loads of clothing and perfume stores, and the Monoprix department store (a French Target), with a supermarket on the first floor that offers great quality prices. Families tell us that visiting the market streets near to our Paris vacation apartments was the highlight of their stay.
