The apartment building has a digicode panel on the outside door, a second locked inner door to the lobby, and the apartment door is steel reinforced. The apartment itself is completely secure, an important feature: The garden is enclosed with tall iron spike railings. They are 7.5 feet tall and wire mesh and green plants fill in between the iron posts, meaning you have complete privacy. There are metal shutters on all windows and french doors, so you can lock up when you go out, or when you sleep if you want some air. The metal shutters have numerous narrow ventilation slits at the top and bottom, so you have excellent air flow and complete security day or night. Of course, the Chambertin apartment has portable air conditioners in the bedrooms and living room so you comfortable, whatever the weather. |

Find excellent fresh foods, loads of clothing stores, and perfume shops, as well as the Monoprix department store (a French Target), with a supermarket on the first floor — good quality and great prices!

- You are just a few blocks from the Ecole Militaire where Napoléon attended military school. This became Napoleon’s headquarters and housed his elite Emperor’s Troops in 1795. The buildings still show gunfire signs from the French Revolution in 1789 and the shelling when the Prussians declared war on France in 1870, to defeat Napoleon III.
