Description of our Cabernet apartment for rent:

Our stunning Cabernet Paris apartment is 600 sq. ft. and is beautifully furnished to create a warm and welcoming apartment to stay in while you visit Paris. Original features of our Paris apartment have been carefully restored, including original oak floors, moldings, and fireplace. Air conditioning has been installed for those warm nights.

Great apartments in Paris seem to be found via word of mouth and this one was no exception. Our local pharmacist told us about it. The family who owned it lived in the East part of France and had rented it for the previous 20 years to an Italian whose tastes ran to flocked red wallpaper. The view and basic features of this Paris apartment were stunning; needless to say, the apartment has now undergone a complete transformation. The balcony and view of Paris make staying here one of the most unforgettable and romantic experiences in the world.

You enter our Cabernet apartment for rent to find a modern kitchen on the right. Granite countertops and cherry wood cabinets make for a clean and inviting space. Dishes are from the shop which furnishes all good restaurants. With a full array of cookware, you can shop the local markets and prepare your own gourmet meals.

The first bathroom of our Cabernet apartment is next on the right, with toilet, fixed shower, and sink. The room is tiled in beige limestone and has halogen lights. A hairdryer is provided, along with towels.

Now enter the piece de resistance of this Paris apartment, the living room, with balcony and full on view of La Grande Dame de Paris: the Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars. The room is west facing and very sunny. Two pairs of French doors lead to the balcony where you can step out and enjoy the view. A round marble bistro table and chairs sit on the balcony for you to enjoy croissants and café au lait each morning, or toast the sunset with cocktails in the evening.

It’s so special to watch a day in Paris unfold below: parents taking children to school; people buying their morning and evening baguettes, coming back from the market with their shopping baskets full, or joining friends for an espresso in the café on the corner. We believe that a great view is an important factor to a wonderful stay in Paris, whether it’s for your first or fiftieth time. It is extremely difficult to find these kinds of apartments; we say they must have the ‘Wow!’ factor when you walk in the door. As a result, our selection is small, but we are uncompromising in our standards.

The living room of our apartment for rent is actually two rooms which we opened up to create a larger, sunny living area. It retains beautiful oak parquet floors, original decorative ceiling molding, and a white marble fireplace. The floors have been restored to their original beauty but required a long hunt for matching parquet from the same period to replace damaged pieces. Our builder made a trip to Versailles and returned triumphant with matching parquet pieces from an old house (wish it was the Palace!).

The first half of the living room has a beech wood dining table which expands to seat up to six. Next to the fireplace is an antique writing table where guests can sit and work or listen to music. The TV, DVD player, and sound system make it a comfortable room for relaxing in after a long day of sightseeing and shopping. There is free access to a wireless high speed line for your computer, with secure password.

The second half of the living room is furnished with a Louis Philippe-style daybed that is attractive and practical as it provides comfortable seating during the day and can be converted to two comfortable twin beds or a dual-king at night. We believe our guests prefer these deluxe beds to what is generally available in rental apartments. We have installed air conditioning throughout the Cabernet apartment, a rare plus for Paris apartment rentals.

The master bedroom is next in our Cabernet apartment and is furnished with twin beds which can be left separate or made into a dual-king. The bedroom is at the back of the building and overlooks the courtyard from a large window.

An important note: all of the windows are state-of-the-art double glazed, the same as used in luxury hotels. The apartment is located in the middle of this bustling city, but is extremely quiet for a good night’s sleep.

The en suite bathroom off the master bedroom has a full fixed shower and sink and is decorated with French beige limestone walls, limestone countertop, and underset sink.

We think this is one of the nicest apartments in Paris and our guests agree!

Please let me know if you have any other questions about our Paris apartment for rent or if we can help in any way. We think you will enjoy our apartment in the middle of Paris!

  • Incredible view of the Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars Park from the balcony and living room. Staying in apartments with views like this creates a memory of a lifetime. Balcony.
  • The location is one of the best in Paris: 5 minutes walk to the Invalides, 10 minutes to the Trocadéro, the Grand Palais, the couturier's on Ave. Montaigne and the Four Seasons George V for tea or 3 star dining. 15 minutes walk to the Champs Elysées, 20 minutes walk to Place de la Concorde and the Bon Marché department store.
  • You are surrounded by cafés, restaurants that Parisians go to, bistros and shops.
  • You are 6 blocks to the golden dome of the Invalides where Napoleon is buried along with surrounding park.
  • You are 7 blocks to the incredible Rodin Museum.
  • You are 1 blocks to the Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars. The Champ de Mars Park is a rare bonus in Paris as there are few large parks in the center of the city. Walk, run, play in 1 of 3 playgrounds, basketball court, go to the puppet theater or just sit and enjoy. Nearby skating and bike rental are fun activities in the park, especially after strenuous site seeing. In January 2005, the Eiffel Tower converted the first floor into an ice skating rink 189 feet high above the rooftops of Paris; we hope it will continue every year.
  • The river is 3 blocks away where the famous Bateau Mouche boat tours begin.
  • Open Markets: Rue Cler is 3 blocks away, one of the best and most famous streets for food in Paris. Pont de l'Alma and Ave du Saxe markets are 8 minutes walk with the largest and most beautiful open market in Paris every Wednesday and Saturday morning. Merchants come from the country with: wines, fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish, pâtés, breads, even 5 types of escargots!

We leave several Paris guidebooks and other information on the neighborhood for you to peruse during your stay.

This is a non-smoking apartment and, sorry, but no pets are allowed.
