Description of our Paris apartment rental

This gorgeous Paris apartment rental, with its totally modernized renovations and antique accents, is located on the 3rd floor (4th American) of an 18th-century building on Rue de Beaune. We have a penchant for naming all of our Paris rental apartments after wines, and Burgundy was a natural choice for this apartment in Paris. Just like the premier wines of that region, which produces both fine red and white wines, this exquisite property offers a balanced mix of period architecture complimented by the most modern of amenities — the best of both worlds! Measuring 840 square feet and offering two bedrooms and two bathrooms, this fashionably decorated Paris rental apartment features a large and dramatic combination living room/dining area with an original wooden beam ceiling — poutres, which was the method of construction in the 18th century — and exposed limestone walls. Previous owners had covered up the beautiful beams and plastered over the limestone walls, but when they were uncovered during the renovation process, they were restored to show their natural beauty. The bathrooms and kitchen of this charming Paris apartment have been completely renovated and feature state-of-the-art appointments, while the bedrooms and living areas have been furnished and decorated to ensure total comfort.

You enter this historic building through a picture-postcard-perfect front door into a small, quiet courtyard leading to the staircase and elevator. The old oak doors have weathered to a caramel color and are almost three hundred years old. Look carefully on the inside to see the century’s old lock.

One of only eight apartments in the building, Burgundy’s living room faces the street and the master bedroom overlooks the quiet courtyard. The Paris rental apartment’s front door opens onto the large living room/dining area with the kitchen directly to the right, the second bathroom next on the right, and the second bedroom last on the right, all opening off the living room. The master bedroom with en suite bath is off the left side of the living room.

Enter the beautiful and spacious double living room of the Burgundy rental in Paris and you’re greeted with a stunning view of the original wooden beam ceiling supported in part by exposed stone walls. The original oak plank floors are decorated with a Persian-style rug upon which sit a comfortable convertible sofa (double-sized bed) and 2 overstuffed armchairs in soft beige colors, as well as an antique coffee table. Additional tables and a chair, a decorative marble fireplace, and two large French doors providing loads of natural light make this room a dramatic yet pleasingly comfortable place to relax. You’ll find a TV with DVD player as well as a I-Pod speakers in the living room’s built-in cabinet, so bring your favorite music CDs for entertainment. With its beautiful combination of modern and antique furnishings, as well as the wood beam ceiling and exposed stone walls, this room is a most welcome sight after a long day of shopping and sightseeing.

The dining area in this Parisian rental room is perfect for entertaining. It features an antique farmhouse table and eight chairs set before two large French doors offering great views of the street. No matter where you’re sitting, you’re tempted to gaze around the entire room to take in its historic character complemented by stylish prints, candles, and lighting.

The kitchen has been completely rebuilt with new cabinets, flooring, and appliances. The marble countertops and back splashes, stainless steel sink and appliances, and just about every appliance you’ll need make it not only beautiful to look at, but a joy to use after shopping the local open markets for your favorite fresh foods. Find a large refrigerator/freezer, microwave, convection oven, toaster, both a drip and a French press coffee maker and quality dishes and pots and pans. Paris and la vie Parisienne revolves around food. The advantage to staying in this wonderful quartier is that there is an open markets nearby — you can shop for the freshest ingredients and already prepared dishes daily and enjoy dining at home in your charming and romantic apartment.

Having a beautiful kitchen and a dining area are among the many advantages of staying in a Paris apartment rental, as you don’t have to go out for every meal. You can enjoy eating with family and friends without having to get dressed up every evening. The French have mastered the art of ready-prepared dishes and foods, so you don’t even have to cook to enjoy great French cuisine. Children (and adults alike) love buying fresh warm croissants at the patisserie each morning, or choosing a special dessert after lunch or dinner. Our guests tell us that shopping for croissants and desserts is the best part of their children’s visit!

Directly to the right on entering the Burgundy Pais rental apartment is the second bathroom, and here you get a taste of the materials and effort that went into the complete renovation of this stunning Paris rental. It features an American-style, glass-enclosed marble shower, heated chrome towel racks, porcelain sink and commode, and a stylishly circular blond oak cabinet. The countertop and floor are also marble, and you’ll find a combination washer/dryer in the closet. Only the plushest towels are provided.

The second bedroom room has two twin beds decorated in lovely Yves Delorme bedding. You’ll also find space-saving built-in closets. This is an interior room, but natural light finds its way in through the doorway and through a fanciful porthole window in the wall of the living room — a charming feature.

The master bedroom of our Paris rental apartment offers loads of light and a great view of the courtyard towards the street from its swing-in French windows. It features large built-in closets complete with built-in drawers, a queen-size bed decorated in Thai silk bedding in soft colors of sage and brown, and a small writing desk and chair. There is free high-speed Internet access here so you can download emails and work while enjoying your special time in Paris.

The master bath off this room is similar to the second bath in that it also features an American-style, glass-enclosed marble shower, heated chrome towel racks, toilet, and marble countertop and floor. A large, open-shelf vanity and additional glass shelves provide plenty of storage space.

An important note: All of our French doors and windows of our Paris apartments have been replaced with the highest quality double-a glazing available, the kind used by luxury hotels. While you may be in the middle of a bustling city, your Paris apartment is quiet.

Spending time in Paris together or with family and friends is what a great vacation is all about. We also send you a 35-page information pack well before you arrive, and are available to help with problems or questions in Paris. On-site management and services like these may not be obvious when you shop and compare Paris apartments, but they can make all the difference in your stay. And we leave several Paris guidebooks and other information on the neighborhood for you to peruse during your stay.

This is a non-smoking apartment rental and, sorry, but no pets are allowed.

We think this is among the most elegant and comfortable Paris rentals. Please view our guest book on our site where guests have written about their stay with us. They even provide their email addresses so you can contact them directly.
